泰宁地质博物苑，占地面积8公顷，是中国目前最大的地质博物馆，是一个以陈列丹霞地貌地质科学、地质景观为主，以展示泰宁地方风情、中国园林、人文历史为辅的大型综合性博物馆。游泰宁地质博物苑，不仅是领略泰宁独特地理历史的一次沙盘推演和观摩，也是对数十亿年地球历史的快捷浏览，同时也是一次益智的游园活动。
Taining Geological Museum, 8 hectares in area, is currently one of the largest geologic museums in China. It is a large comprehensive museum exhibiting geosciences regarding the Danxia landform and landscapes as well as local custom, garden and human cultural history. Visiting the museum is not only an understanding of Taining’s unique geography through sand table simulation, but also an overview of the Earth’s several-billion-year-long history and a pleasant learning activity.
